Multicultural Graduate Student Organization

 

This organization is designed to address specific issues and concerns relevant to graduate students of color attending the University of Tennessee.

 

As a group of concerned multicultural graduate students, we recognize the need to address specific issues and concerns relevant to graduate students of color attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Through the unified efforts of our membership, the purpose of the MGSO shall be to:

 

• Provide for a meaningful higher educational experience for graduate students of color at UTK through:

  • Professional Development

  • Peer and Faculty/Staff Mentorship

  • Social Networking

  • Study and Writing Groups

• Facilitate the recruitment and retention of graduate students of color, and Provide a support system for and establish community among graduate students of color enrolled in graduate programs.

 

We're here to help you adjust to graduate student life on campus, mainly by ensuring that you have a life to begin with!

 

SCHOOL IS NOT LIFE BUT ONLY ONE ASPECT OF IT.
